KNOWLEDGE – EXPERIENCE – LEADERSHIP
These are the attributes upon which I ask for your vote! My wife and I have resided and/or owned since 1982. I have held positions of responsibility on Board of Directors, Committees, Clubs, and many Veteran and Youth Activities. Established Committees, Clubs, Veteran Entities, such as Parkway Flags, Blue Star Display, SVL Veteran Club and its Mural, Spring Valley Lake Veteran Monument; and to provide financial assistance to Spouses of Disabled American Veterans (DAV) , the ‘Gary Hunt Memorial Scholarship Fund’. In 2016 I wrote and successfully secured Priority Registration for Spouses of DAV’s at Victor Valley College (VVC).
As Chairperson of Youth Activity Committee (YAC), and coordinating with VVC Athletics, organized and produced 14 successful, standing room only, Youth Programs and Events. I will reinstall!
My priorities: Our Youth, Lake, Elimination of Apathy, No Renovation Project exceeding $100,000.00 without Membership Approval, and providing Community feedback by reestablishing Members Opinion Page in the SVLA ‘Breeze’.
I have always based my leadership upon Bernard Shaw, ‘People see things as they are, and ask, “why”; I see how things could be, and ask, “why not”!’ I believe in, and open to, corrective criticize!
