SVL Board of Directors
My wife Christy and our two kids moved to Spring Valley Lake because we found it to be an inviting and safe community for children and family. Playgrounds, ball fields, and fishing areas presented many outdoor recreation options for our kids and family members. The thought of our children being able to walk and ride their bikes on the streets and walk to friend’s houses were things we looked forward to. The biggest attraction to us was the well maintained houses and there seems to be a sense of pride in having a well maintained yard here.
We have enjoyed the many amenities of living here in Spring Valley Lake. This community has been able to uphold its reputation of being the jewel of the desert, due to the efforts of the board, committee volunteers, dedicated staff, and most of all, caring and friendly residents. I believe in the power of volunteering and the value it adds to one’s life. I am an active supporter of the International Footprinter’s Association, and several other organizations. Professionally, I am a Sheriff’s Deputy in San Bernardino County and a veteran of the USAF. I have also completed numerous safety and security courses.
I have first-hand knowledge that we as a community are not immune to the economic, social, criminal and environmental issues that surround us. Our Board of Directors have been an integral part of protecting our community from the Mars Nutro plant and Walmart, as well as improving our security patrol, obtaining water rights, and promoting environmentally friendly water usage. I want to continue to proactively identify and address issues before they become serious and costly problems for SVL.
As a board member, my primary goals will be 1) Public safety, 2) Financial strength and integrity, 3) Protection of our amenities and assets and 4) Communication with residents about issues that affect our community.
I encourage ALL of our community members to participate and vote. Your decision does matter and it does count. YOUR vote is YOUR voice in whether our community thrives or deteriorates.
