Spring Valley Lake is a pet friendly community. However, the Public Safety Department has implemented certain regulations to ensure the safety and quality of living remains intact for the residents while also supporting their animals. SVLA does not have facilities to hold loose or stray animals but, the Public Safety Department keeps a log of all animals that have been reported either lost or found.
Pet Tags
All owners are encouraged to obtain SVLA pet tags. All information about the pet will be entered into the SVLA PSD Dog Tag Database at the Association Office. Pet tags are free of cost and can be obtained at the Association Office or the Public Safety Department. These tags aid the Association in locating the owner in the event that an animal is located outside of the owner’s property.
Dead Animals
In the event that an animal, domestic or otherwise, is found to be injured, sick, or deceased please contact Animal Control. Lakeside Residents can contact San Bernardino County at (800-472-5609); Equestrian Estate Residents can contact the Town Apple Valley at (760-240-7000 x7510).
